When a low hand is made in the final or mid rounds the player that has made the probably low high should rightfully raise any bets that come up in the table.  This is one way to make the other players that are still heads up and drawing for the lows to really pay a handsome price for it.

In high low games, even if the opponent is going to draw toward a high and you have made already close to low, this kind of approach matters because even they will have to contribute some high price for the draw, which will eventually increase your share in the pot split in lowball games or in high-lo games per lowball tips suggested by pros.  Bet and raise, if you see your hands are worth the split.  Whether you are following lowball tips or high ball tips both tactics suggests a bet raise when you are in the better side of the tide.

In cases when you are playing a high-low game in most cases A-2-3-4-5 will be a scoop.  If you are making a high and low hand with the wheel and you are nearing it then also you need to continue your raising.  In this case also you will be making the others that are drawing the lows and highs to pay for what they are waiting for.  If you have a low hand that is not in a good betting position, you can be raise with the lows unless there is no threat of straights or flushes where you have no chances at all.

Even if you are not in the primary position to bet, you can raise with a made low per lowball tips because there is going to be negligible danger of someone with probably A2345 hand on the table. A fifth street made low per lowball tips is always worth of being raised.  In many cases where there are going to be a lot of splits by equally qualified lowball splits, the pot will be of less value for all the effort taken.  So, play accordingly.
