Any better idea or poker strategy to play A-K ? Truly, this hand can be played in several ways like many other hands. It depends upon the cards that have turned in the draw. If the A-K has been spades then undeniably that could play a great role in a wonderful winning. If both the A and K were to be spades, it is a giant hand. There are equally opposite views about A-K being a famous trap; however, despite all criticism, A-K can be a trap or a way to win a great trip after a big money winning based on how the flop opens up, mostly the table image and definitely the betting ethics.
A-K is a monster hand, but the resultant winning is quite attributable to how the player is playing each move, the suits and every card that runs up in the board will actually determine the destiny of this hand. When played right, this hand can bring in a monstrous winning; however, it should be noted A-K does not mean winning. There are an equal percentage of losers who do not make a winning by hanging on to this hand. A-K is a drawing hand and victory with this hand is not an all time guarantee. It is for this reason that we need to play A-K based on the upcoming draws. When A-K is opposed by someone with A-A or K-K pockets there is going to be less chance to win such monsters. But if there is not going to be someone with A-A or K-K the A-K can be played in a way to put pressure on the rest in the table. Preferably, it might be difficult to decide if someone has a pocket AA or pocket KK. If there is going to be a call or raise on the pre-flop round, then there is a chance that the one that is raising could hold A-A, but if the board is going to turn double A there is definitely no other opponent out there and if the spade A is your pocket then it is going to be a monstrous winning and a rigorous betting can be initiated. Sounds cake and candy, but truly without an understanding of poker strategy we might not be able to determine if AA, KK can possibly be with the players. In a short handed table if an AK is facing a board without an A in it, they might possibly suspect probabilities of AA or KK with the opponents. Learning to guess correctly is indispensably a major need. |
