There are several lowball variations poker games and the distinctive feature of this game is that as opposed to high rank cards winning in other games, the lowest hands wins the pot. There are many types in lowball variations poker games.

• If 2 qualifying hands have a pair in them! AA953 beats 22543

• A hand without a pair is always prioritized for winning! KJ864 beats both AA953 and 22543.

• From the above examples you need to understand that in lowball variations poker games, pairs are disadvantageous to winning.

Ace forming a straight or flush is not considered to be a low in lowball variations poker games because a wheel is the lowest possible straight that qualifies for a low. In high/low split games of lowball variations poker games the wheel can qualify to scoop. The wheel is also the best in the eight or better variations.
